PARTY TIPS
Below are a few Party Tips that will help make life easier on you and your party a hit:
- When serving cheese as an appetizer before a meal, ½ ounce to 1 ounce per person is an appropriate amount. 2 ounces of cheese per person is an appropriate amount during a cocktail party or when serving a group of cheese fanatics.
- Prepare as much of the food as you can ahead of time. Your guests will send a search party for you if you are in the kitchen the whole time!
- Create interesting conversation areas by placing appetizers in different locations. This makes it more fun for your guests and allows them to easily mingle with others.

An Executive Chef's #1 Rule - ENJOY YOURSELF!
Forward by Joelle Rhodes
My grandfather had this as the fundamental rule for everyone that worked with him in his kitchens. Whether it was at work or at home, he believed that if you are having fun and putting a little love into your food, the food tastes better!
I wholeheartedly agree with my grandfather’s #1 rule. I remind myself of the rule every time it gets a little crazy in the kitchen. FYI-The rule applies outside the kitchen also.
Coming from a family in which food is for much more than nourishment, I thought I would share my grandfather’s rule and a couple other things that I have learned.
Everyone has a different level of expertise when it comes to cooking. Every favorite dish is appropriate for certain occasions. Everyone also has a different way of incorporating our cheese into their favorite dish. My hair stylist’s favorite recipe for Party Cheese is to mix a can of black beans with a healthy portion of Mexican Jumping Bean and cook until melted. She has claimed it is the world’s best bean dip! Our cousin, after a late night of fun in SF, swears that toasting a bagel and then placing cooked chicken and either Mexican Jumping Bean or Mama Mia and cooking until cheese is melted, makes the best late night snack ever! A friend, who would be considered in many circles an excellent cook, insists that Martini Madness makes a great addition to penne pasta. It is all just a matter of preference.
Below are a few EASY recipes for each of our cheeses. Remember cooking is about being adventurous and trying new things. Be adventurous and add Party Cheese to your favorite dish.
Perfect Martini
2 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1/2 oz rosso vermouth
Stir or Shake, depending on your preference.
